Introduction
Dahanu is a tribal-dominated taluka in Palghar district. Dahanu taluka is mainly located in the mountainous and coastal areas. The area of Dahanu taluka is 980.50 sq. km. and the total population is 402095. Dahanu taluka is bordered by Talasari taluka and Gujarat state to the north, Palghar taluka to the south, Jawhar and Vikramgad taluka to the east and the Arabian Sea to the west.
